Operation Method:
1. Inspection before measurement:
Unplug the instrument cap, touch the probe to the two contacts on the cap, and press the test switch. If the display is 18±1 (when the correction gear is 5), it means the instrument is in a normal state.
2. Gear setting method:
According to the tested paper, according to the recommended attached table to find out the gear that should be set. First press and hold the type setting button, and then press the test switch “switch” at the same time. At this time, the current gear setting value will be displayed and the decimal in the lower right corner will light up. Press the type setting button continuously to change the gear to the desired level. Position, let go of the two buttons, and the setting is complete. After turning on the machine, the set gear will be maintained until it is changed again.
3. Measurement:
Insert the electrode probe into the paper sample to be measured. Press the test switch, the data indicated by the LED digital tube is the average absolute moisture content of the test piece. When the measurement value is less than 3, it will display 3.0, and when the measurement value is greater than 40, it will display 40, indicating that the range has been exceeded.

Precautions:
1. Refer to the following for the recommended correction gears for different papers of this instrument; the determination of the paper gears not listed:
First, take a few dozen paper samples of to-be-determined gears that keep the moisture balance as much as possible, and use this instrument to measure the indicator values ​​when the type is set at 1 to 7 gears, and calculate and record the average values ​​respectively. Then the test piece was sent to the oven, and the moisture content was measured by the drying method. Then compare with the average of the 7 groups, and take the closest value as the appropriate type of correction gear. It can be used as a reference for setting in the future.
If the above test is not possible due to the conditions, determine the type of correction gear, usually we recommend testing on the 5th gear. But pay attention to the measurement error caused by this.
